Our new owner took over Havator yesterday 18.6.2024, as the acquisition announced at the end of April (24.4.2024) has received final approval from the Swedish authorities, and the new owner has completed the sales-related clarifications.
The new owner has today appointed Sami Jalo, the current MD of Jalo & Jalo Oy, as the new MD of Havator Group Oy. Jalo & Jalo Oy is a personnel lift company based in Finland and with activities outside Finland in a joint venture with BMS. The previous CEO of Havator Group Oy, Hannu Leinonen, will step down from his position but will support the new management in getting acquainted with Havator’s business.
Havator Group Oy will continue with its existing structure and responsibilities. In the long term, the new owner aims to shift business responsibility increasingly towards local and country-specific directions, supporting local operations with their extensive equipment and expertise, leveraging the capabilities in different countries and organizations to serve customers in the best possible way.
“We are happy that we have now finally received the necessary approvals, so we can get started properly. We are looking very much forward to getting to know all of you Havator-employees better. We are confident that we will have a long and fruitful co-operation and that by collaborating on finding the best way to benefit from each other, we will build a strong and solid crane-group serving our customers with the best and safest solutions”, says Jens Enggaard, CEO of BMS Stangeland A/S.”
“I am excited to start my new role as MD of Havator Oy. It is a great privilege to undertake such a significant multinational integration. Havator is a strong and respected name. We will continue to build the future in our region under this brand. The staff is experienced and skilled, which we believe will strengthen the entire BMS-Stangeland family as we make the cooperation work”, says Sami Jalo, VD of Havator Oy.
“I thank my colleagues and the entire organization, each of you at Havator, for my interesting journey in the world of cranes. Strong industry knowledge and experience combined with the newly created Nordic entity provide an excellent opportunity for the entire organization and each Havator employee to grow personally and develop their careers. I hope the new entity can seize the opportunity and that I can witness the flourishing business as the current downturn fades. With the new owners being deep industry experts, I believe that the collaboration between organizations will be good, deep, and fruitful”, says Hannu Leinonen.
